The past government gave

example of blind and savage persecution,
has given to this nation
countless martyrs
with horrible crimes,
among treatments very hard,
death threat at every moment of
premium
against impunity enjoyed by the tyranny of the past, full of private vices

covered by public virtue.
For many years, with every art of seduction

suggested the poison was

most ignorant portion of the people, through
pulpits,
public edicts, sermons

with its church pastors.
